Photographer Keith Aggett
I was born in 1969 and raised in Devon, England. Having lived here all my life, I feel lucky to have such beautiful coastline and moorland on my doorstep.
My original passion for photography came from fishing, watching the morning sunrises, the mist hovering above the lake, the flare from the sun and the end of the day marked by fading light and falling shadows. These inspirational moments sparked a desire to capture those magical moments in time and entice me into the world of photography.
Self taught in photography and software manipulation, I have presented my images on flickr to invite comments and criticism in order that I may continue to learn and progress. My enthusiasm to date has been focussed on landscape and macro photography, specialising in long exposures using assorted filters.
I have a full time job so currently my photography time is limited, although I hope these priorities will be reversed in the near future!
All I can do for the moment is get out and shoot when I can, keep looking, learning and moving forward.

Photography - simple word, easy definition. To take a photo - to catch a moment, to memorialize a while. For me, photography is much more. It is an ambiguous concept, with the message.
My photography is my own perception of the world, my own way of feeling the reality. Photography gives me the ability to stop the fleeting moment, to grasp what is impermanent, transient: light, mood, atmosphere.
The greatest difficulty, but also an art, is to capture a moment in an attractive and understandable way to others.
How to reconcile these two contradictories: show the true image and its interpretation at the same time, on the same picture? How to wake up someone's feelings, memories, associations? How to stop the viewer for longer? I'm still learning it, constantly improving my skills.
My photography adventure has started relatively recently. True, the first attempts to photographing took place many years ago. However, the turning point was the first digital SLR purchase in mid 2009.
Since then, I'm almost completely absorbed by shooting. I'm still looking for new frames, excellent workshop. Courses, thousands of images viewed... Every free moment devoted to my passion.
